Square Enix has announced that it expects to lose $140,000,000 in “content abandonment losses” for the fiscal year, which ended on March 31, 2024. Come from Sports betting site VPbet

According to a new financial report, the Square Enix Board of Directors met at the end of March to discuss how to move forward with game development. Square Enix has reaffirmed its stance on being more selective about which games to develop. Upon close examination of Square Enix’s current development pipeline, it seems like there have been several projects canceled and will result in a 22.1 billion yen, or $140,000,000, loss as a result of abandoning them. Square Enix did not name or reveal which ones were canceled.

Square Enix president Takashi Kiryu revealed earlier this year that it would be revising its game development processes to focus on fewer, but higher-quality, titles. Furthermore, he said that Square Enix would be aggressive in applying AI to both game development and publishing pipelines.

Back in 2023, Square Enix’s stock took a nosedive due to apparent weak sales of Final Fantasy XV…

Push Gaming, a B2B gaming supplier based in London, UK, launched Razor Returns on the 4th of July, the sequel to the famous Razor Shark slot, which is a shark-themed slot featuring dangerous sharks and an amazing underwater adventure.

Outstanding visual:

True to its name, the main theme of the slot is the aforementioned big sharks, similar to the sharks from the popular movie “Jaws.” The game takes place deep underwater, in a colorful place among colorful reefs and sharks, who have now upgraded their style with gold teeth. In addition, the game can be played on any device.

To win, players must form a combination of 3 or more matching symbols on adjacent reels, beginning from the reel furthest to the left on a dynamic 5×5 grid that offers 40 paylines. Furthermore, the game has high volatility, a default RTP of 96.55% and a maximum win of up to 100,000x a player’s bet.

The basic low-value symbols are the diving equipment, anchor, a periscope and compass, while the high-value bonus symbols are the orange, green, purple and blue sharks. Also, there are some special symbols such as: wild symbol, aka huge metal shark, legendary green reef…

Bally’s Rewards on Casino Cruises

The partnership launched on Thursday, and it covers three tiers of the Bally’s Rewards program specifically Legend, SuperStar, and Star, as it seeks to create a unique onboard experience that ties back into the casino partner, and thus builds strong synergies and opportunities for both businesses.

This week, the National Indian Gaming Commission (NIGC) announced the gross gaming revenue totals for Indian gaming facilities in the United States. The details were provided during the recent Oklahoma Indian Gaming Association’s Tradeshow and Conference. The revenues jumped to a record $39 billion for the fiscal year, a 40% increase from the previous year’s totals.

Details of the Report

The annual report details were based on independent audit reports from 510 gaming establishments operated by 243 tribes in 29 states on reservation land. The revenue totals were so high, they outdid the 2019 fiscal year by 13% and 2020 by 40%.

In a press release, the NIGC stated that gaming revenue for the 2021 fiscal year is the highest ever in the history of Indian gaming. All administrative regions have shown a positive increase from the previous fiscal year. The increase followed the industry’s greatest decrease which was created due to the pandemic and gaming venue closures.

The pandemic is still on the mind of tribes, and the gaming industry continues to show resiliency through advancements in operations and the leadership of tribal regulators. NIGC Cha…

A study about what might happen at the end of the world based on player behaviour in the Korean MMO ArcheAge is about to be put to the test. After a nearly 10-year run on Steam, ArcheAge servers in North America and Europe will be closed in June.

“After discussing the performance of ArcheAge with XL Games at length, we have concluded that we’re no longer able to provide the MMORPG we envisioned,” publisher Kakao Games wrote in a closure announcement. “The declining number of active players means the game’s content is no longer accessible in the way it used to be, and the experience of it is different from what was originally intended. In light of this, we’ve made the difficult decision to terminate the live service of ArcheAge in Europe and North America.

“We understand this news is disappointing, for it’s a feeling we share. ArcheAge has been a big part of our lives, and we know many of you have a history with the game many times longer than ours. As we approach the end of this journey, we invite you to join us as we ride into the sunset.”

There is still some life left in ArcheAge though: The announcement doesn’t make any references to …

Armored Core 6 was a triumph—it gave second wind to FromSoftware’s mecha franchise, brought new fans into the genre (myself included) and it let you gun down tanks as a 20ft-tall Pepsi Man, what more could you want? Co-op, that’s what.

Despite the fact that there’s several missions in the game with AI partners, there’s no online co-op—which is fair enough. Not only is the single-player experience already great, with some of FromSoftware’s best NG+ content yet, Armored Core 6’s mechs are so customizable I have no idea how you’d balance any mission around more than one of them. The Robot-Wars style PvP battles are a better use of the game’s online functionality.

That hasn’t stopped modder LukeYui from trying, though. As spotted by TheGamer, LukeYui posted a fully-functioning prototype of him and a friend tearing through the Attack the Watchpoint mission. Since the mission’s designed for a solitary AC, it turns one of the game’s first major difficulty hurdles into a breezy walk in the park, something LukeYui is very aware of.

“Enemy scaling is not present in this build but it will be on release,” they write in the video’s description, before elab…

I would describe myself as many things. Writer, long-haired moron, the most spectacular lover this side of the Milky Way. But one term I would also use to describe myself is: A musician. Not an exceptionally good one, I have to say, but I’ve been known to take a stringed instrument and throttle it to within an inch of its life for paying punters, and for my own enjoyment, too.

Which is why, when I found myself watching footage of a pair of robot arms playing the cello with the Malmö Symphony Orchestra, I felt a range of competing emotions. On the one hand, it’s an impressive technical achievement, and one to be admired. On the other, I looked into the faces of the orchestra members sitting behind it, watching their beloved art form reduced down to a sequence of quite literally robotic motions, and felt a pang of existential dread and sympathy rolled into one.
